Philosophy

Design has a powerful influence on our society, in nature and in the direction we take our lives. Everywhere we look in architecture, transportation, media, packaging etc., we are exposed to it and often not always aware of these influential surroundings.

A portion of popular design is not only very practical but also uplifting and nature friendly, while others can be very unhealthy to say the least. Design is going to become increasingly important as human beings make even greater demands on the environment. Today's media-driven society and fast-paced lifestyle tends to be the acceptable norm. AN Design aims to promote a positive change in the quality of life for human beings and our planet, utilizing more creativity and imagination such as green marketing, paperless media, and recyclable and reusable resources for a sustainable future.

Our style emulates the colorful, beautiful and mathematical aspects of nature bringing it into harmony. Ethics, sustainability, and great design are always in mind when creating work for a client. Our goal is to create design that is not only practical but also pleasing to the eye and compatible with our environment while keeping the client's message intact.

History

AN Design began while the owner, Alissa, worked as a full-time employee as a graphic design manager for a corporate marketing company. Even before she began her career in the industry she always dreamed of working for herself, but knew it couldn't be done without proper 'real world' experience. Working corporate gave her the necessary skills to succeed in the business world, but something else was missing. With the long commute to sit in a windowless cubicle for nine hours a day, she quickly realized this wasn't her place.

She gave her business a name and developed a website for her portfolio. Friends began to ask Alissa to design pieces and them to refer her to their friends and colleagues . She quickly realized the joy she felt by working with small businesses and helping them grow. With increasing requests, the work week climbed to 70+ hours and it was now time for her to resign from corporate life. She gave her notice and ventured out to take on AN Design full-time.

AN Design has the latest computer hardware and design software. We currently have Adobe Creative Suite 3 which combines all-new versions of essential tools for producing everything from professional page layouts to rich interactive experiences in a unified, intuitive environment. We are able to produce engaging experiences; and serve You and your business with our creative vision more easily and effectively than ever before.
